Color By Number - Mystery
Hey Reader,
I have really gotten into coloring lately. Again, I recognize it is not the most crafty thing in the world, but I needed a break from all the wall smoothing and painting! I am really close to that whole thing being done and won't we all be happier then.
I got this book of highly complex color by numbers a little bit ago. It is really fun to zone out in front of the TV while coloring, and these have an added element of mystery. I have no idea what this picture is going to be of until it is all done.
Look at that picture there. I have only done two colors and it is pretty impossible to figure out exactly what it is.
Also, looking at this I would love to try and use one of these pictures as a pattern for a quilt. How cool would it be to do this on a large scale? Maybe that is just me, but I see it happening.
By this point in the coloring, I am definitely getting some bug vibes. I would like to try assigning different colors to the numbers and seeing how that goes too. Since the images are a mystery at the start, I might wind up with some wild color combinations.
Now we have two different ways I can use this book. I feel like I am pitching different versions of Netflix game shows right now - seriously that is a passtime of mine. Why isn't there a Nailed It where all they do is craft projects? Why is Cooking On High such a train wreck? These are important questions.
When all is said and done it turns out I was coloring a sugar skull the whole time! I suppose it could be a regular skull, as it is not immediately evident this skull is sugary. I am going to go with sugar skull though - it's less murderous.
Looking at this, I do think it would make a great quilt pattern. I am going to be saving these as I make them, might wind up with a bunch of really awesome quilt ideas. I love that this one uses diamond shapes too, some of the others are squares - which would also work nicely. I saw at least one that was circles, that would present a bit more of a challenge.
Anyway, I have a lot of wall work going on right now so I am going to see if I have any new creative things coming down the pipeline, at the very least I will have a house that is totally painted!
Keep making cool stuff.
Until next time,
JoshPrime
